Four years ago Yvonne was a 'womon' on the edge... of love that is. Caught between head & heart, she found herself at the mercy of both Dorian & Corrine, having inexplicably fallen for them both. In the end, Yvonne is forced to choose.
This time around she is back with a vengeance & remains firm in her decision. It is only when adversity strikes, testing the solidity of her relationship, that she begins to ponder if love is enough. She soon discovers that one bad apple does indeed spoil the bunch as all of her relationships become affected in one way or another.
In trying to salvage the most important relationship of them all, Yvonne must confront her past head on. It is through this vulnerability that she comes to understand what it truly means to love.

What a pleasant surprise to come across! I didn't know there was a part two to 'The Womon'. I am not one to read novels, but perhaps this book is what I needed to read right now. I bought the digital version so I could read it now and couldn't put my device down once I started. Here it is 3 o'clock in the morning now -- I read it nonstop from beginning to end.I really enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first that I read some very long time ago. It had me smiling, laughing, upset with my eyebrows turned inward at parts, to not wanting to read the 9th chapter because at that point I was feeling some level of anxiety. It's just one of those story-lines so well-written that the author has you feeling all kinds of emotions that keeps you on the edge of your seat with eyes wide opened. It has a smooth and continuous balance in my view; like a roller coaster ride. It has its ups and downs, and in-betweens here and there, all the while keeping it a smooth ride. This is one of those stories.
Being inside of Yvonne's mind and seeing her world through her eyes was like living or becoming one with her body, mind and spirit. Unfortunately, did not get that view with Corrine's character this time. A perspective I would have very much enjoyed reading as well. Still a great book regardless.
I had a hard time coping with Eboni's character and what she encountered in this story. It made certain parts very hard to read especially because she is a child. Dorian was not my favorite character (and now his son) and I knew there was a reason why. Some things you can kind of just sense before they happen. Things he said had me talking back to my tablet as if watching a soap opera. Ms. Bagby writes in such a way that is not only entertaining and authentic, but it's captivating, and so descriptive you see it and feel as if you're there. If it can capture my attention, someone who doesn't read novels, then surely it will to others. Like I said I couldn't put it down.
The things Yvonne were dealing with -- love, marriage, motherhood, and sexual abuse she went through as a child -- are real issues in life. I can relate to at least the love part. But in concept, truly I can relate to them all without having gone through the exact thing. I can feel what she was going through: the disappointment, the anger, the rage, the guilt, feeling like she didn't do her part, feeling violated and so on. It's all well illustrated in this book to where anyone can relate. Overcoming IS the crossing and to know you have a support system is a blessing all by itself. To know you don't have to go through anything alone is absolutely priceless.
And on the positive side of things, I was rejoicing with some of the characters in the book with the love, reunions, friendship, and laughter to go around. Love how the other characters were reintroduced subtly back into this book from the first. It had me saying, 'Hey I remember her or him.' It was like I was there reuniting with some old-time friends. There's much more good to be said about this book, but to sum it all up, it's a very enjoyable read! Recommended.

Two Times A Lady edition by Seconya Y Bagby Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I forced myself to finish it, I never really got into the story... Didn't like the writing style...
Why use caps so much?
Good book
Really enjoyed the book, the characters parts were so along the lines of modern day issues. Looking forward to more of this story line.
Of course when I see a 0.00 cost book I have to get it. This one was surprising to me and the development of characters was good for such a short story. I hadn't read womon and now, I'm not so interested in doing so because I want to see what's next and not what's behind. The writing style is so rhythmic and poetic. I love the splashes of word play. So interesting. Only thing is that I'm not a fan of fast forwards, but I assume it is needed to catch people like me up who didn't read the first novel. Also wish that there was more on Eboni and the happy go-lucky relationship before the turn. I guess seeing from Yvonne's eyes, we miss the conversion as well.
Kind of too short but a nice love story sort of. Two best friends,Yvonne and Corrine finally realize that the love they seek can be found in each other
The story was too short but I absolutely enjoyed what I read, I wanted more. It was well written. I hope there will be a part 2.
My first read by Seconya Bagby and was impressed with her writing style. Some free books are worth the price. The story was poignant and believable. The characters were relatable, except Dorian. Even if he did not believe his son has commited such a heinous crime, the way he lashed out at the victim unbelievable. The name calling of a 13 yr old child. Really? Yvonne's support group, Kat and friends was enjoyable. Corinne, well.... Nice read and recommend
